The Squamish food and beverage scene has gained a lot of traction in recent years, adding several notable restaurants to it’s roster. Offering everything from the classic West Coast pub on the water to authentic Lebanese Cuisine to award winning draft, there’s something for everyone’s pallet.
For those looking to wet their lips, options for a sipping tour include three craft breweries, three cideries, and one distillery. Find Squamish's own Spark Kambucha or Squamish Water Kefir in about any door you walk into. Tall Tree Bakery is your go-to for fresh baked bread, while Fergie's and the Crab Apple rival for the best brunch in town. As for the main event - here are a few options you'll want to make sure are included in your trip itinerary.

Saha Eatery
Inspired by Lebanese and Morrocan flavours, Saha Eatery provides a truly authentic dining experience. The kitchen uses ethically sourced local ingredients prepared from scratch, and features a fresh new lunch special every day. While it’s hard to go wrong with anything on the menu, the Halloumi, Deep Fried Cauliflower, and Baba Ganooj are definitely recommended.
The Salted Vine
Set in Squamish’s oldest building in Squamish - built in 1910 - the restaurant’s dining room pays homage to Squamish’s roots as a railway town, while embrassing the modernity of it's growing cultrual scene. Offering a finer dining experience, The Salted Vine presents a menu inspired by the Pacific Northwest, paired with a wonderfully classic cocktails.
Backcountry Brewing
Home to the infamous Wittowmaker IPA and some of the tastiest sours on the coast, Backcountry Brewing promises great beer, delicious pizza, and good vibes. For a local secret, try the "Fo-Rager” - the Forager, add Prosciutto - for an unforgettable party in your mouth.
The Watershed
Perched right on the Squamish River, a trip to the rustic pub is necessary to truly appreciate the uncanny beauty of Squamish. From the best patio in town you can admire one of the largest wintering eagle congregations, and bears can often be spotted fishing across the river. The Shed Burger and Fries are guaranteed to satisfy after a hard days work in the mountains. Avoid evenings on summer weekends - things can be a little crazy then.
Essence of India
We know what you’re thinking… how could Indian so good in Squamish? You’ll have to take our word for it. A family run restaurant, Essence of India owner Chef Don immigrated to Canada from the Indian state of Punjab in the 70s and has spent a lifetime in the culinary scene. The Aloo Tikki and and Lamb Korma are simply divine.
Sunny Chibas
An all-time favourite among locals and commuters looking to refuel after a hard days work in the mountains, Sunny Chibas offers just what the doctor ordered: fried chicken, dirty burritos, and excellent fish tacos. Wash down tasteful memories with local draft while enjoying an animated atmosphere and overall good vibes.
