When the "trail" gets a bit too steep

Arm yourself to tackle anything the mountain trails can serve you.  Learn how to read steep rock and how to safely climb vertical terrain.  This clinic will cover vertical rock safety, how to set up a top rope, belaying, rappelling, and climbing techniques.  A fantastic learning opportunity for anyone seeking runnable peaks or want to explore a new hobby!

Prerequisites: Trad leading experience, excellent gear placements

Highlight skills: Belay change overs, multi-pitch anchors, multi-pitch rappels, belay methods.

  • Previous rock climbing experience, in the gym or outside
  • Have top roped 5.6 as a minimum
  • Fitness to be moving for a minimum of 3 hours
  • Can hike 1 hour in gentle uphill terrain
  • Likes being outside
