What we do
Altus carries wide-ranging liability insurance, permits, and crown land tenures to operate in the sea to sky region. We provide private rescue insurance on all of our jobs. These are some of the perks of having Altus on your side. Our team has been working together for years in accordance with IFMGA / ACMG standards, operating guidelines, and procedures.
Altus can close the knowledge gap on safety and risk management while working in remote wilderness locations. The safety of the cast and crew is always our top priority. We have the infrastructure to operate in a challenging environment.

Mountain Safety - terrain and hazard assessment, avalanche risk management, safety rigging, and fall protection
Location Scouting - Altus can access terrain via dirt bike, snowmobile, ATV, alpine climbing, mountaineering, rock climbing and hiking, and side by side. Let your imaginations run wild, we can get you there.
Mountain Weather Forecasting - The Farmers Almanac has a secret formula and so do we. MtnWxFx can be used down to the hour to complement any shooting schedule or heli logistics.
First Aid - Safety is paramount. We uphold WorksafeBC standards even in non-traditional workplace settings.
Gear Rentals - We have everything from backpacks with essential avalanche rescue tools, overnight survival gear to plush camping setups to suit any base camp.
Behind the Scenes - Our in-house team of photographers and videographers can capture the authentic BTS experience of being on set.
Catering and Craft services - Working long hours outdoors in the elements is challenging. Good food goes a long way in keeping a crew happy.
