In the heart of British Columbia 2.5 hours west of Banff lies the scenic and historic Rogers Pass, the highest point on the Trans Canada highway. Rogers Pass is characterized by tower peaks and ridges of stunning quartzite rising up 6000′ above the highway. We offer individual peak ascent, 6 day programs as well as custom trips to this world class mountaineering destination.

Day 1: Travel to Rogers Pass early in the morning. Hike up to to the Hermit Meadow camp within striking distance of Mount Tupper and Mount Rogers
Day 2: Ascent of Rogers Peak. Either by the steep snow south face or the rock SW ridge.
Day 3: Tupper! Very classic scrambling and climbing to 5.5 up this airy quartzite ridge. Back down the valley to hotel.
Day 4: Hike up the Illecilewat valley to the base of Mount Sir Donald the centerpiece of the valley.
Day 5: Ascent of Sir Donald: This peak rivals any rock ridge route in the world! Likened to the famous Matterhorn in Switzerland but so much nicer!!!! a full day of climbing on impeccable rock to and unforgettable summit.
Day 6: Options: Either have a sleep in and hike down or an early rise to make an ascent of sir Donaldʼs neighbor Mount Uto. Same amazing rock and fun climbing. Back
down to valley.
Rogers Pass EQUIPMENT LIST

Personal Gear:
- Boots – full-leather or plastic mountaineering boots. If leather, they should be well broken-in and waterproofed with snow seal or equivalent
- Hut slippers/flip flops
- Sleeping bag – good to approx. -5 or -10 degrees Celsius (Work best: hut will well above 0c)
- Backpack – 60-80 liters capacity, big enough to hold all gear for the trip plus some extra communal gear
- Summit / Day-pack – 15-40 liters capacity (optional your big backpack can also work as a Summit pack)
- Outer layer jacket with hood – Gore-Tex style
- Light weight outer layer waterproof pants – Gore-Tex style
- Lightweight thermal layers – top & bottom, Polypro, Icebreaker, etc.
- Climbing/hiking pants – nylon, fleece, Schoeller, etc. (1 pair)
- Gloves (medium weight) – wool or poly-pro (2 pair)
- Waterproof gloves or mitts (gloves work best ) (2 pairs)
- Warm parka/jacket – down, synthetic, fleece or pile (1)
- Sweater or vest – wool, synthetic, fleece or down (1)
- Socks – wool or synthetic blend (2 pairs)
- Toque/warm hat – wool or fleece (1)
- Sunglasses – 1005 UV block (1pr)
- Ski goggles (optional)
- Headlamp with new battaries
- Misc. personal items (camera, journal, etc.)
- Sunscreen – minimum spf30
- Water bottles/hydration system – minimum 1 liters
