Ice climbing on the Duffey Lake Road

Got out the other day with coastal Ice veteran Jia Condon.  Skied in to North Joffre creek to check out the conditions. We crossed tons of avalanche debris from the previous week’s cycle and were glad the overhead hazard had cleaned itself out.  Found a great cliff on the way to the Mini Moose and opened a new two pitch thin ice route complete with rock protection and ice chimneying! Nothing too hard but a great season opener!North Joffre CreekPitch 1
